Well, it was quite the busy day of digging! Same location as last week where I dug the general service coat button, just another section. So much shallow clad! Totals for today came to 2 mercury dimes, 1 Indian and 7 wheats. The soil there is very sandy so the coppers came up in excellent condition. Then for the clad there were 7 nickels, 34 dimes, 49 quarters and some pennies I'm not going to bother counting. A whole lot of trash today too! I didnt get very much area covered, I wonder why! Interesting thing is that this is a public spot, and you can tell by the sparse old finds that it has been hunted a lot in the past. I hunted this very same patch but it was about 5 - 6 years ago. So all this clad (which was super shallow) was lost since my last hunts. Guessing there isnt anybody else hunting this spot lately.

Looks like the dig Jared, and I did over here yesterday at that old hospital. Lots of trash, my pile wasn’t as big as yours. I didn’t keep the aluminum cans I ended up throwing them away in a barrel nearby.

Great bunch of finds and it shows what happens when you go slow, work a smaller area and dig pretty much everything, Congrats!

That’s exactly what we did yesterday. Low, and slow one the race.

I wasnt really surprised by the amount of clad, but more about the amount of trash. Much of it was screaming "dig me" targets. Lots of bits of copper and brass in there. Numerous old jar lids (that were DEEP) too. Those always make me hope I can keep getting good pinpointer hits after I dig one out. One of these days, there will be a cache under one of those rotting lids!

Great work on finding the oldies and still snagging a serious amount of gas money.
