Had a look back on the field were I found the Roman Silver of Marcus Aurelius we have had some heavy rain lately, and the conditions could not have been better, but I have been having problems with my left shoulder and elbow (work related I think :P) so I could only manage three hours.
Had a couple of interesting bits, the best being a guilded buckle plate, which I think is Medieval, but could be earlier. It has the Fleur Dis Lis at the end of a X, and dots as this site date's well back it could be Norman.
The Romans were staying well hidden, but I managed a couple of Bronzes, one with some nice detail, plenty of buttons and plenty of scrap a whatsit that could be a key handle with a hart on one side..have a look
