a few CW finds

[RJH02]

I went along with the Staten Island History Hunters on their group hunt over the weekend in the Fredericksburg area. I want to say Thanks to Kieth and Carter for putting us right in the middle of were the action was on a great piece of property that I pass by 6 or 7 times a year and never dreamed I would one day get to metal detect there.

I found this JP Schenkel percussion fuse and a few 3 ringers. I hope to see you guys again soon.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. I was hoping for maybe a few bullets and a button but I will take the fuse instead, it was my first good find of the day.

I thought that was a piece to some type of buckle, I looked all over the area I found it in for the rest of it but that's the only piece of it I could find.

It appears that the threads on it are slightly damaged on 2 sides of it, do you think maybe it wouldn't screw in so they threw it out or it was just dropped at some point . Thanks again for looking, someone told me it's not a super rare find but I may never dig a whole one again as most are found in pieces.
