A few lake finds---what kind of button is this?

Dug down through the rocks today and found part of an old Dorothy Perkins compact, a small key that sort of looks old, a button that also looks old. Is it military? Thanks!

Thanks for that information! It is a weird key in that it is small and the groove on the key is only on one side. Wish it said Ford on it!
