Like most of the country we too here in upstate Ny been trying to deal with the hot and really dry weather. It's been about 3 weeks since we had any significant rain,I mean the soil is bone dry and any turf exposed to most day sun is cooked.Temps here were very hot last week and the week before, and even if we still have no rain yet at least the heat wave has snapped for now.All this crazy weather has for sure slowed my MDing down.I really have not been out digging in a couple of weeks, even though I have got out in my back yard at night a few times just to search and mark a few choice spots to go back too after the drought is over and hopefully will yield more then an old bottle cap or old pull tab.:tongue3:
This is my digs from a very tiny pocket park just down the road from me.The ground even then was starting to dry up so I stayed in a small area that was swampy and in the shade for most of the day.I searched this small area low & slow and invested about 1 1/2 here.
Nothing special but neverless finds they are.,A few clad quarters, some nics, couple clad dimes,I did pick up a few wheties 37 being the oldest, a bent memoria,a couple odds and a few scraps.
Hey thanks for checking out my digs................................................................
