A Few Weekend Finds

Hi all,

It's downright HOT this weekend, the humidity is awful, but I did manage a few things here and there at the schools..I'll spare you photos of the usual clad..there was some, but not much this time.

I found ring #32 yesterday, kinda pretty but missing a couple of stones..

Today I found these 2 coins at the same school. I thought the larger one was a token of some sort at first. If you know what this is please clue me in.

Coincidentally, both coins are from the same year..the 5 pence was found by the swings, and the larger coin was close to the school building.

Axerocker, when I first started MDing I'd go to schools all the time..they always had a great variety of finds. I still like to search them every so often. (You have a great day too )

Bdoo, no I don't think so, it says nothing inside..still a ring though the way I look at it. Hopefully I'll strike gold again by the end of the summer.

Hey SC, remember when alot of us were saying we couldn't wait for the ground to thaw because it was FROZEN? Can't believe we're at the opposite extreme so early in the year..I don't really remember spring at all!

The ring count is pretty good, but I'd much rather find a 3 or 4 golds than 50 of the "brass and glass" variety They're fun to find though either way..I get a rush even finding the "cheap" ones.

Great looking ring! I'm with you, I've found 20 and only two were worth anything; a couple of the others were real pretty though. I know you were told that was a Korean coin, but it looks like a stork to me...any announcement from your woman?

Natman - Nice looking ring. I'm with you, regardless of content, a ring is a ring. I've got a couple of those 500 Won coins from when I was stationed in Korea in 1992-1993. The exchange rate then put that coin at about 75 cents. HH and nice ring count.
