While working for Halliburton in the oilfield industry a long long time ago, I got to spend a lot of time along the Red river north of Bossier La. I had got to know a lot of the locals and we started hunting rocks on the time off we had . I found this heart breaker along the Red river, at the time I thought it was broken from a long time rolling in the Red river because it does show some damage from that, but now I believe it was broken during the time it was being made. It is made from a high grade of Edwards flint. Also now that I have learned more on Clovis sites there are a good number in that area and even more to the west along the La. and Tx. state line all the way down to the Gulf of Mexico. I don't get this one out much but thought some of you might like to see it.
