A First For Us--Draped Busts! 1683 Mass Property

Hi everyone,

John cleared brambles from a new area near where some old outbuildings are on his property. He started detecting and found an 1802 large cent--worn, but he can still see the date and some lettering. He cleaned it up a bit and went back out. Would you believe in the same hole he dug an 1803 large cent?! So cool. This one is in better condition. He also found a pretty basket-weave button, age unknown, tiny bit of gold left, and what might be another Victorian sash cinch (not sure). Hope you all have a great weekend! Congrats on that awesome 1805. I believe my oldest US minted coin is and 1831 LC. Ya'll got me by 26 years.

Loco - they are 1802 and 1803! Your 1831 is certainly worthy...! We don't have one of those yet. Thanks for looking, ~L&J

L&J--- regarding the reed, got the big one a year ago-- told it is a "diatonic 10 note" harmonica with high & low tone for each note. soft lead body, riveted brass fingers, small broken one found a few weeks back down 12" at the former Colonial farm----I have dug 3 organ pedals once, thought they were shoes for alien oxen, sure would explain why African Wildebeests are so durn ugly
