I have hunted this park relentlessly for years, the town was doing a bit of work on the side of the road,so...."do you care if I hunt this?" "sure have at it". Ended up with a 1935 merc.1919 wheatie
a silver something, and a brass thingy with a ceramic center, absolutely no idea what is is.

Tomorrow is another day, where to hunt next.:laughing7:

GOD Bless

Chris

A door knob?
Great hunt.
I scored a liberty head at a sidewalk dig last year. Nice to gain an extra foot in depth!

The rusted item "almost" looks like an old rear view mirror... but it is too small.

Congrats on the Merc & Wheat. GL&HH.

Chris,

Glad you managed a silver for your efforts.

Regards + HH

"push or pull" knob from vend machine ?
Cash register "key" ?...
Typewriter key ?

Chris,

Since the parks crew are giving you grief any boulevards or grass strips between sidewalk and curb in your area that would be detectible....

Regards + HH

Bill

I thought when I read the title you found a foot on the side of the road. How morbid....Oh well. Congrats on the cool stuff.

It could be a brooch, like had a design on it that has long since faded. Good job by you.

Bill,
I haven't been back to that park 'yet',Sunday morning EARLY I will be. The crew doesn't say anything, just that one guy does.

Great job WT...very smart of you to even think to detect there!

Nice digs . Thanks for sharing the story and the pictures with us

you have to imagine with all the stuff getting dug up in Springfield in preparation for the casino - that could be a gold mine - too bad one has to go to Springfield however...

Hey Pete,
I would say it would a be off limit hardhat area,I got a hardhat ,but..over there is way out of my limit,if you know what I mean.:laughing7:

Nice silver Chris!

They dug up city hall plaza here and wouldn't you know it, it was off limits fenced and posted! Even the place they hauled the dirt to was off limits!
All I could do was drive by and drool!
