A door knob?
Great hunt.
I scored a liberty head at a sidewalk dig last year. Nice to gain an extra foot in depth!

The rusted item "almost" looks like an old rear view mirror... but it is too small.

Congrats on the Merc & Wheat. GL&HH.

Chris,

Since the parks crew are giving you grief any boulevards or grass strips between sidewalk and curb in your area that would be detectible....

I thought when I read the title you found a foot on the side of the road. How morbid....Oh well. Congrats on the cool stuff.

It could be a brooch, like had a design on it that has long since faded. Good job by you.

you have to imagine with all the stuff getting dug up in Springfield in preparation for the casino - that could be a gold mine - too bad one has to go to Springfield however...

Nice silver Chris!

They dug up city hall plaza here and wouldn't you know it, it was off limits fenced and posted! Even the place they hauled the dirt to was off limits!
All I could do was drive by and drool!
