Got out with a buddy to a couple fields which have just been plowed. I did ok but my buddy got an 1817 George III silver shilling and a 1720 George II penny...lucky guy.

I did get a first where I least expected it...Chinese cash coin. Another off the list.

Romeo, as usual, nice finds, buddy! I really looove the buckles!

Could your friend get a picture of that silver coin? I, as well as many other Colonial hunters here, would love to see it.

That is some sweet silver there! Was British silver circulated heavily in your area? In my location, we only find Spanish, but my uncle did find an 1806 German VI Kreuzer last year.

There was a fail amount of British silver in this area...in fact this shilling was found on the same field where I found the 1826 shilling last weekend...I'll be going back there tomorrow!

Great days work!!!

Great finds. A lot of people don't know how hard it is to find good relics and you have some good ones.

What does an 1817 coin have to do with the colonial era?

Is everything pre-Civil War considered colonial now?

In Canada it is considered colonial...we didn't become a country until 1867...
