A Great 2007 and a better 2008

Gang...

Started out strong earlier in 2007 averaging 25+ coins per hour. Tallied five separate 100-coin days during the year. It's now wonder how your number count is directly proportional to the number of hours spent in the field. (HaHa!) The last quarter of 2007 was a wash due to work getting in the way of my hobbies. I'll make an honest effort to balance my hectic schedule somewhat better next year!

Most memorable 2007 moments (and many firsts):

1. 1917-s SLQ, 1907-s Barber and 1923-s Mercury dime all found within 20 minutes at a demo in Long Beach.
2. 166-coin day at numerous parks and schools in the local area.
3. 3-ring day (2 Silver + 1 Gold)
4. Passing 2,000 coin milestone in August.
5. Breaking the 20th century coin mint date in California (1898 IH)
6. 41 quarters in 3H in Palos Verdes, CA.

Sorry we didn't get a chance to meet up somewhere this year. For '07, our area was a great place to be a detectorist....what a year!!

I'm sure your numbers would have been way, way up there if you were able to continue the year like you had started. You're right...here's to a better '08. I know I won't top my '07 year with regards to silver (dimininishing silver returns), but there's thousands of dollars worth of clad just sitting in all the parks around here, and a couple handfuls of gold jewelry.
