I got a phone call from a good friend in Virginia this weekend to come down and hunt a Rev war site that he had got permission to hunt on private property in central Virginia. We hunted hard for about 3 hours up and down hills and in the woods . I decided to come out of the woods and hunt a clear area ,Coil on the ground sweeping the leaves and then BINGO a hi silver tone and my first thought was it's probably a beer can or piece of trash or a shot gun shell. I dug about a 4 inch hole and out of the black dirt was a silver disk about as big as a quarter, I didn't have my glasses on so I thought it was a knockout From an electrical box buti did see some kind of lines on it . I yelled to my hunting buddy and said what is this I don't have my glasses on so I gave him the disk and to my amazement he said how about a 1762 SILVER Spanish 2 REALE and I couldn't believe it. It was an awesome hunt. Thanks again John for the invite. It doesn't get a lot better then good friends and Spanish Silver!!!!!!
