I once followed an owls ears to a vault.
I knew that Minerva was the sign of the owl.
M is the 13th letter of the alphabet. I took a 13 degree bearing… and bingo.😀

I also talked with stilldign on the phone who mentioned the 13 as the M he also told me they used feet which at that time I was still using Varas but he was correct in the fact that they used English feet he even said that they used 49 feet (7x7) and I have found both 49 feet (off a triangle carved on a boulder) as well as 49 Degree changes of degrees/turning at sites, I don't agree with a lot of things he came up with but the ones I just mentioned are absolutely true,

I don’t know the distance, when I was on the bearing I came across a horseshoe with a slash through it.
The horseshoe represented the bend in the river approximately 1/2 mile from the owl. The slash mark represents a ravine on the other side of the river . Soon afterwards they fired a warning shot at my feet from higher ground.

The owl is actually on my family farm. The vault was on a neighbor’s land.
There were several deposits all on the same latitude or longitude line.

Yes the Owl is for sure a great sign for a cache.

I have heard of this, Latitude and Longitude lines that have caches, one such is the Lost Dutchman treasure supposedly the Superstitions are on such ley lines.

I only came across the bell once, it was a feature on a topo map.

I have a bell at a treasure site with a owl sitting on top of it with its head on its back

That is very cool and would be fun to work.
In my area they are burying the small caches packed in some kind of clay. My metal detector will not pick it up in all metal mode.
But it will if I push in on the pinpoint button.
Originally I missed a lot of caches before I realized this.
Now days I know the Omega clue and can pinpoint the cache in a couple of minutes.

I wish I lived in a State where I could be on a spanish trail.
I rented a cabin in Arkansas. I noticed on the fireplace mantel was a small treasure chest with a small owl figurine next to it.
I picked up the chest and a triangle was carved on the bottom. I simply took a 120 degree bearing and was quickly on the trail,
Btw thw owner of the cabins ladt name was James and kept mules there where he patrolled thousands of acres of national forest land.
Now they use drones.
