KKC got permission for a couple new sites. We hit one of the fields today and it sure paid off in big dividends. I won't steal their thunder. :hello2: This site was loaded with Colonial buttons. All of the signals turned out to be from the 1700s. :headbang: :hello2: It sure was fun to hunt, but I wish I would have dug up one copper. :dontknow: :help: :laughing7: I can't win them all though, but I am happy with the buttons I dug.

I will need some help with the one relic I dug. Any ideas? :dontknow: Could it be a gun part? :icon_scratch:

Keep the passion high! :headbang:

I know you didn't come away with a copper today, but that's still a nice handful of relics Kirk. Next time might be the day .........

What a waste of time. Diggin' them old flat buttons. They all look the same. :laughing7: Just messin' with ya. That's a good day on anybody's book. WTG

those buttons are a great consellation prize my friend , i'd be content with digging them all day . i just got out of a copper drought of almost 4 weeks (finally a Connecticut copper), you'll get yours soon i can feel it buddy .

I'd take a handfull of buttons like that anyday :icon_thumleft: I don't know what size coils you guys were using but you might want to try going over the same area with smaller coils. That helped DeArmitt snag his Flowing Hair last year.

Nice bunch of relics. I believe the piece in a decoration from a horses harness. I have found some similar.

Looks like a great site. What's this ornate curvy thingy?

Thank you all for the replies. We will be back at the Colonial hunt next Saturday. :icon_thumleft:

Don't you just love the button patches.
Next Sat will be your day Kirk, I can feel it.

Nice "handfull" of relics there man!
I'll take those digs all day long.
I'm stuck here digging up old home-site yards dodging rattlesnakes.
Horse tack is what I believe the unknown piece to be. Adhered to leather somehow.

I always enjoy poppin' buttons from the ground ! I prefer coppers, but the buttons will do....

You day is comming my colonial brother :headbang:
