A Handful of Early American Whatzits

[MarkDz]

Hi all... Any ideas about these items? I picked them up in a lot of dug stuff from the 1700s-1800s. (The big thing on the right is hollow.) Any ideas appreciated. Thanks!

The thing in the middle...is that hollow, or is the bottom flat and just dirty? First thing that came to mind would be a wax seal stamp, perhaps

Looks like watch winder right below that

Thanks... that's a good possibility. It is hollow (just like the thing to the left of it). Maybe the seal was broken or removed?

Thanks... I think you may be right about that!

Mark,

Some help on the size of these items might help with getting an ID. If it's the correct size, the hollow item on the right might be part of a barrel tap.

I think 2&8 are lamp wick adjusters

Third from left on top looks like a tongue from a brass buckle.

Good point... I don't have the items on hand but the big one is about 2.25"... yes, probably just right for a barrel tap.
