Wow lots of "ultra" treasures being posted lately...this isn't one of those stories! Ahahahahahaahahah

I've been trying to locate some old home sites a local guy told me about, nothing on my maps about it, so who knows. It was rough out there in the woods today, very few hits...total digs for the day: 8 holes in two hours. Don't normally keep count, but hard not to when there's nothing else to do ;D ;D ;D

I did find one cool item, a tag from a hunting dog...with a 5 digit phone number. I talked to some old guys today, they remember hunting with the family name, but think the name on the tag is from their friends dad or something.

Nothing exciting, but I do like "location" pieces...items marked with a town name where you're hunting.

End of the hunt I found OLD decorative gas pipe, 1890's style, but at the time I thought I had wandered off the reservation on to someone's else's land, so I left...turns out I was just lost and was still on the land I have permission for. So there IS a video, but I'm holding off til I can go back to that gas pipe and dig a little deeper. The style and age match the descriptions of the "old ante bellum house that used to be over there somewhere..." Going back tomorrow for more, finish up the vid then.

Jim , Your on the trail searchin' :icon_thumleft: something unexpected will turn up , I just know it :) dawg

Hit it good and swing slow, as much as I hate to think about it in about 2 more months my season will be over for another round of cold frozen ground.

Gotta love the south and year round hunting :-) Hope you get plenty of treasures before it freezes up!

Update:

Ahahahaahahahah, gotta love it when it turns out completely different than you thought.

"Gas Pipe" turned out to be an iron head board thing after I got a chance to examine it again...wrapped in barb wire. Someone was using it as a fence post! And the story doesn't end there...I found DOZENS more iron head boards, all barbed wire together for a make shift fence.

No coins today, not even a zinc penny!

Love your videos on you tube! Keep up the good work and happy hunting.

Moah
