Greetings fellow dirt diggers! Just a quick note from me and my hunting buddy "Rich Of Pa". Well, we hit some paydirt tonight in our local haunt... I picked up a 1912 Barber dime, a Buffalo nickel, a 1945 wheatie, and a clad dime, I think that Rich got a clad dime or two as well. (Usually, he out hunts me hands down, tonight I got a lucky break, I think the detector gods took pity on me!)

We have been nailing this old park all summer, sometimes its paying off, sometimes not. Tonight was a fun night for sure. Just a short hunt after work, we were out for about 2 hours.

Well Jess, the detecting gods smiled on you tonight for sure, good job. :hello2: :hello2: :hello2: :hello2: Our new area will keep us busy for the rest of the year, and for 2012. ;D ;D ;D

Did you make anything out on that round tag?................Rich

Rich,

I think its just an ID tag that was commonly used by many industries before the advent of magic markers, spray paint, and bar codes. Years ago they used wax crayons or paper/metal tags for lots of things like machines, parts, lumber, etc. Im thinking its something like that. Its brass.
