A little gold ring, between the rain

So it rained most of the day yesterday and today, but I happened to be near the beach when the rain stopped.

So I decided to see what I could find.

I didn't expect any recent drops due to the rainy weather we've had most of this week on the west coast of florida.

Still, I had my excal with my, free time, and a beach, so I gave it a try.

About 15 minutes in, I get a tone and dig up a small gold ring (10k). Always nice to see a ring in the scoop.

Found several coins, a hot wheels car, and typical beach trash.

Still, finding the ring made my day.

Thanks to montauk for telling me about the dinolite usb microscope - makes it easier to view the fine detail of the treasures we find, and to shoot close up photos.

Believe me, 200 magnification is just perfect for what we need. The resolution is truly excellent.

Yes your right when you hear 200 it sounds like to much especially since the biggest loop I could find was a 30X and sometimes that isn't enough. I saw some for $149.00

I bought the $149 dinolite usb microscope with flexible stainless steel stand on eBay.

The stand is nice to have when you have 200x magnification.

The image below is a closeup of the links of a very fine chain I recently found on the beach.
