Detector(s) used
Deus II/HF2, Manticore, E-Trac, Excalibur II, V3i, Pro-Find 40, Vibra-Probe 585, TRX
Primary Interest:
Metal Detecting
This was my second hunt since picking up the detector again after many years. Was out about 1.5 hours, over 2 hours if you count stopping by a field near the house and finding it completely astroturfed - dang, another one gone. Was on the V3i with the Super 12 (for coverage, not depth). Got a solid 13 VDI, clean alloy, tight Analysis. Saw gold peaking through and was shocked like always, but it made sense per the readings. Very small ring; fits on the tip of my pinky. Not sure what kind of ring it is, baby, pinky ... maybe toe ... size is 3-1/2. The jewelers mark is TW in an oval, 14K. It isn't "total weight" since no diamonds - looks like it might be Tessler and Weiss Inc. of Union, NJ, USA, which was founded in 1936 and is still in business.

Also found a gold-ish pendant - probably plated at best. And three new 2024 quarters just sitting there on the surface.

I was not expecting gold this morning, made my day. Cheers!
