Hey fellow detectorists,

The weatherman said that it was going to clear up before noon so I headed out about 7:30 for a neighboring town.

Partook of my breakfast on the way.

The rain stopped just before I arrived at the first school; I did have to put my jacket on as there was a little bit of a chilly wind. Before I finished with the school, 1 1/2 hours later, I was sweating to death. I had to peel my jacket off as it was stuck to my arms. ::) Among the stuff I found there was a weird looking thing (in the picture with the question mark), don't have a clue what it could be. The blingy looking bracelet with the stars is plastic...had me going for a second when I eyeballed it underneath the slide! Thought I might have pulled a Boobydoo there for just a second. LOL. The next playground wasn't real good, thats where Buzz Lightyear was located peaking up out of the sand. The following school netted the tiny ring with the red stone (#43). Of the 5 quarters I found on this one, 4 of them were in the same hole. That was fun for a minute. The next school netted more pennies than anything else...the Cheerios car was found there. The next park tot lot on my first signal in the sand I pulled a ring with 3 shiny stones (#44). There was a kid right next to me looking up at me, "Wudjafind?" I grabbed the ring and jammed it into my pocket. Later, on examination it proved to be some kind of copper alloy type ring and even tho the stones are shiny and pretty I have no doubt that they are fake. :-[

So, I'm only up to 4,737 coins for the year...I've got to find a more profitable area to hunt!
The day finished with a beautiful blue sky and I headed home, arriving at 9:45pm.

River Rat - still don't know what it is, I have no clue what a dome ring is.
Teverly, nice guess but I don't know what a sharks mouth ring is.

I found a few dome rings so you can get the idea what they look like...what's here is not the best http://www.nextag.com/dome-rings/search-html

In other words the top sits up like a dome and the underneath part will be hollow.

Yea, it has the shark's open mouth look from the side

Still neat finds!

;) RR

Prober,

Hey Rat, (that was my best friends name in high school), I looked at that site but I don't think this sharks mouth ring is in the same league as those dome rings. LOL

Thanks Au4Me. That water may look inviting but its freakin cold! Besides, they had the red flags out, rip tides. I will admit tho it was nice & cool on the beach.
