Hot day, but this military pin showed up in 5 minutes. Anyway a stack of sod was watching me.
As soon as rain comes its over on this place. Anyone think the harmonica board is super old or 20th century. Lots of civil war sites around here.

Looks to me to be an Army Engineer pin. My guess​ is WW1. Cool find.

The back has a brass wheel that holds it on what ever is attached to. My dad was in the ww2 usmc and his pins had the same type of back attachment. Just wondering if those were in use ww1 through ww2. Thanks for your help.

I agree with GaRebel on the WW1, the type of background is period for WW1 era. It is actually a TYPE 1 collar disc from 1910-1926. The Type 2 were made in 1926-1937 and the background pattern has a series of diagonal cross hatched lines that formed squares with the lines. The TYPE 3 used in WW2 had a smooth background and would come apart. TYPE 1 and 2 were one piece and all had the same attachment style. Awesome find!
