Here in western Pennsylvania, a deep freeze has closed down operations for a while, so today I was able to do something I had never done before. Friends with a farm in the country invited me to play hockey on their frozen pond; it was like playing in a Norman Rockwell painting! I used to be a pretty proficient skater, but had never done it with a hockey stick in hand and there is a huge difference! As I type, I can feel muscles that have been long dormant yelling at me, but I suffered no broken bones and should be recovered by the time the ground thaws! This helped a little with the Cabin Fever I'm suffering; I hope you are all coping with the dreadful cold we've had in the last few weeks.
