A pleasant surprise.

My local Wells Fargo had $420 in halves. While the teller was counting them out I noticed several rolls had blue "X"s on them. Dumps no doubt, but there were three plain tan ones that caught my eye though. Rather than take them all back to campus and waste gas dumping later, I decided to quickly go through them in the parking lot. Sure enough, all the marked and patterned rolls were clad. The plain ones I saved for last as I had a feeling there were some goodies in them.

Upon opening the first, I noticed a few clad rims that were much lighter in color compared to the rest. Checking the dates revealed "1969." 40%ers! Got three in that roll, nada in the second, and a really white rim in the third. Could it be that elusive 90%? Alas, it was another 1969. The bank I dumped at had over $500 in the back and in teller trays, but I only have so much money to work at the moment. Perhaps I'll check back on Monday. I made sure my dump rolls were marked for easy ID on the next trip.

So 4 40%ers this time. Add to it a $5 bill I found in the campus food court earlier and a killer classic gaming Craigslist score, it's been a pretty good day for me.
