Went out yesterday morning to find not much of a low tide, so I decided to hunt wet sand. I started hunting in January, and tend to shy away from the base of the slopes on my beaches because of all the iron. This hunt was no exception. With not alot of options, I considered this a learning experience, and maybe the start of me cleaning out some trash from my beach. Well about an hour or so into my hunt another pull tab signal turned into my first gold ring, ever,.....finally. P1000087.webp P1000094.webp

the inscription on the inside was artcarved 14k.
I keep learning a little from every trip, plus all the great info from this site. Guess I learned to spend more time in the trash. Good luck all, and happy hunting.

Nice ring !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sweet first gold...a beauty

That part of the beach always has hidden treasure ,not just iron. WTG and congratulations.

Congratulations! That's a really pretty one.

I bet that was a wonderful "ring"ing in your ears! I can't wait for my chance...

thanks everyone. I took a closer look at my junk from this hunt, and also found an oldie. A trolley token. P1000097.webp This area used to be a large summer resort area pre W.W. two, and trollies used to bring the people down to the amusement park, dance halls, and numerous bars and attractions along the beach.

Congrats! :hello2::hello2::hello2:

After that first gold it seems to get easier....
AND...I LOVE the bottom of the slopes...lots of iron indicates an accumulation of heavier things!
