I was detecting with 5 friends last week when I stumbled upon a find that still has me shaking my head. We were searching an overgrown semi wooded area. After finding a bracelet partly exposed in the leaves then another one I figured I might just be on to something interesting. Well that thought soon came true as I started removing piece after piece of jewelry, coins, and many misc items from the dirt. I dug these items for two hours, went back the next day for another 1.5 hours and then spent 2 hours cleaning and sorting. It sure was fun finding all of this and sharing the adventure with my friends. In total there are over 160 items including at least 4 gold rings, a gold ear ring, gold ear ring back, and one gold filled ear ring. Also 3 silver rings, 3 silver ear rings, and a silver bracelet. There are several vintage jewelry items and the rest of the jewelry is mostly costume. There were 11 Mexican coins 7 of which are half dollar sized or bigger. This stash/cache of jewelry and misc. items is a find I won't soon forget.

Awesome, Great and Fantastic all rolled up in one hunt! Congratualtions 160 times! :occasion14:

Now that was a treasure hunt for certain. :headbang: Amazing, wonder if it was lost during a move or what? Go ahead and pinch yourself to make sure you're not dreaming.

Thats amazing Mike.........Dream hunt for sure!

Very nice finds. Grats
Could have been tossed during a chase perhaps?

Could be a burglary stash. The watch looks like a mid 70's Bulova digital or the like. Interesting... maybe someone was a bad guy in the 70's then never made it back to his stash spot.

how far was it spread?

Looks like a couple class rings in there? Any way to ID them? Great finds Mike, congrats

Mike,

Quite the haul for your efforts.

Regards + HH

Bill

nice Masonic freemasons ring!!!

Yeah that ring! Got some age as for the 2 others. I presume the burglar got caught or forgot about the location of the stash. Man, you found more in one find than me in a season! WTG! :icon_thumright:

what is the dates on the coins?

Impressive. Congrats!

I think it was someones jewelry box that was stolen and stashed..nice going
