Course closed on Mondays, so I asked the pro shop if I could hunt it on closed days since I live on it and am a member.
My results from a short cart path hunt.
4 quarters- 2 dated 1964
9 dimes-2 dated 1962-3
7 penny's
Only one wheat dated 1910s not in the best of shape but worth a few bucks.....
Nicely done! I've been wanting to md the Pebble Beach Golf Links here were I live. Used to work there years ago, wish I'd been into mding then! Keep up the good work!
They sure don't look like silver quarters in the pictures! But thats pretty cool, I have yet to find a silver quarter, dimes are all I ever find. Nicely done!
The top two quarters are 1964
The dark ones the others I soaked in vinaigrette to see if it would clean them -don't do that!they turned pink?
I did not take any individual photos of them since they are not old.....but I can if ya want.
You can see the wonderful effect the golf course fertilizer has on the penny's.
Pebble beach would be nuts to MD all that history.....
My son worked at a golf course for almost two years that was built in the early sixties. I wasn't detecting much at that time, but it is funny how I never thought there would be anything old or silver until you I saw your post. Too late now, he hasn't worked there in two years.
