Hello all,
Gary and I hit a few more local parks this week. One of the days was record setting for me. I found (11) wheaties, 1924 Buffalo Nickel, 42 Merc, 53D Roosie, a Kids Game Medal, a small 10K gold ring, and and $2.98 in clad. I don't think I've ever found so many keepers on a single hunt before...

All the silver from this park was blackened due to it being found in a low lying area of the park that usually retains water. Most of the other objects found were discolored in some way as well.

This small gold ring will make a very nice gift for my great niece when she gets a little older. It's mark ".417" which stands for 41.7% pure gold, or 10K. It was giving the Cz a short, quick "Foil" type signal and was recovered from a depth of only 4" down.. Also, a pic of the buffalo. It's one of the better looking nickels I have found.

This "INDIANA POLIS / KidsGames / CHAMPION medal just about blew the headset off my head. It was found at a depth of only 2" down. It measures, 2-1/2" in diameter and is made from some sort of cheap base metal with, what looks to be, a bronze covered finish.[br][br] Every time I find a medal these days I can't help but to think of that song " Mr.Beach Metal Protector Guy".. " I'd give ya a medal, but you've probably already found one...

This group of finds, consisting of (2) more wheaties, a 58D Roosie, a small "Patrol Service / Captain" badge, and $2.68 in clad, was found at the same park yesterday. The small badge measures right at 3/4" tall by 1/2" wide. Not quite as good as the day before, but not too bad either..
One other hunt at a different park only yielded $3.04 in clad, with no keeper finds, but I sure can't complain about it... I am having one of the best months of detecting since I started a little over three years ago...
Hope ya all have had some luck, & Happy hunting~
