A Remarkable Find --- "In my IN BOX!"

I wonder; how many others have been bombarded by these sort of scams recently?
This one makes no less than 6 I've received over the pass 2 weeks? Are they legit or, as I typed earlier, "SCAMS"?

Looks legit! Just send them all of your credit card information and cash in!!! ;D ;D ;D

Re: A Remarkable Find --- "In my IN BOX!"

It's a scam. If you respond, they will tell you that you will have to Western Union them a "processing fee" of several thousand dollars to claim your prize of millions. The poor sucker sends them the money, and you never hear from them again.

Re: A Remarkable Find --- "In my IN BOX!"

If it were legit, They would be referring to you
by your legal name, not "WINNER".

Sounds like that African outfit . I used to get that crap all the time. As far as I see it, if I don't know who is sending me something, then it's a scam. Especially when it says that you won something for nothing... HAHAHA. Their english is a bit lacking, too. That's one indication as it being of foreign nature. There was a special on TV about one of these scams. It's around Nigeria or one of thoses nearby countries.

Re: A Remarkable Find --- "In my IN BOX!"

just tell them deduct the several thousands "processing fee" from your millions -- and heck tellthem they can evenkeep one million for themselves for doing it for for you -- and then just send you the rest --- have a nice day.

You can ask them to take the money out of your millions, but they always have an excuse not to.

Find out all about these, and other, kinds of scams at http://www.419eater.com/ and how you can also have some fun with these clowns.

Re: A Remarkable Find --- "In my IN BOX!"

I think your first clue to BS should have been it came from a foreign country

Re: A Remarkable Find --- "In my IN BOX!"

Nigeria via the U.K. is a very popular route for these scams. They try to get the older folks, not you GRB, to buy into it. Kinda like the lottery with no chance of payoff. :'(

Re: A Remarkable Find --- "In my IN BOX!"

SCAM SCAM SCAM !!!!!!! Need we sat more?

Re: A Remarkable Find --- "In my IN BOX!"

We get something almost exactly like that every week. I guess they are trying to wear me down, but I never open the darn things. Too bad a lot of old folks fall for the scam.

Re: A Remarkable Find --- "In my IN BOX!"

Real simple... if you really have won a large amount of money....why would they need a small processing fee or delivery fee...why would they just not take it out!

Ron you know better than this..... Now take the Se out and save yourself some $$$$.... :icon_sunny:

Re: A Remarkable Find --- "In my IN BOX!"

Lol! I knew I would get an interesting comment or two!

You know, these sort of things have been going on might near as long as there has been an Internet.
I wonder how many people "have" fell for them? You'd think our various governments would put a
stop to such blantant shananigans much like the excellent job they've done with those buying/swapping/indulging in child pornography.
This sort of thing is just as bad in my opinion.
