Hi Willy:
I'm a New Member, and yours was the first post I have read. I was happy to see in it that my "A.Sanborn" spoon was not--as I previously thought--the worst one in existence. These American coin silver (90% silver) spoons were pretty much always thin, but this Sanborn silversmith seems to have taken it to an extreme. The fiddle-back handle on mine is so thin that it's sharper than some knives I own. Does the 1850s-1860s date range fit in with the other things you've found at this site? Happy Hunting, Wm
