A test for the best

You guys/gals are the best, so here is a little test. I know what they are but I bet a number here might have thrown them away when found.

The one on the left is made of a poor grade of pottery. The other two are of a good grade white glass.

SWR.. These I have were for sure from a period before 1915. By the 30-40's I think all were made with metal tops. Still looking for photos of the twenty mule teams to see if they used water-bags.

In the late 30's, Dad always had a waterbag hanging from the car in New Mexico but I don't remember how they were made. lol

I really thought someone would figure it out. There is a lot of us desert rats out there..

Thanks for the fun competition Greengoose, we still have cooler bag in use here in South Africa, but they have plastic stoppers in them. Could the hollow part of the porcelain be a cup? You would pull out the stopper and drink from it also?

pgill.. The porcelain is the spout or like a top of the bottle. Drinking from the bag with a porcelain instead of metal would be more pleasant but they do break.

Stopped in Capetown in 1959 while in the navy aboard the USS Essex. Impressive.. Good findings.
