My brother TimC and I worked the Lot at Howard and Kinniknnic today. Saturday, they removed the mound of topsail that was pushed to the back. As we approached the site, we could see someone beat us to it. The place looked like MOON CRATERS! I know the yahoo that was here was not a true detectorist. only a wanna be. I know this because the first "empty" hole I saw had a 1922 Buff next to it! In plane sight! That is the scratched one in the pic below. He got a signal, dug the hole, scratching the coin, then abandoned it without looking in the dirt! We looked further, filling his holes as we went. TimC then found the 1942 Merc and a little later the 1957 wheat. Fill your holes. Even when in a bare field. It's the RIGHT thing to do! TTC
