A very small intricate design sake cup "maybe gold"

I found this while metal detecting. It set off the detector. It wiped off very easily. It looks like it could have some gold in it. There also is some marking on the bottom. What do you all think? Thnanks Bill

I have not found anything similar to this dish in calligraphy dish bowl inkwell. Any more thoughts?

My first thought when I saw it was that it might be an individual salt dish, aka a salt cellar. Just a guess.
