AB&Co Pure Block Amber & 15k pipe tip

Picked this up for $23, which I thought was high, but it was in the box. It's marked 15 & .625 which is 15k gold. This is a first for me. Seems 15k was an English & Commonwealth standard that was mostly phased out by 1932.

Very nice! Albert Baker & Co. Ltd. Can you tell the date? It looks like an 1867 London mark. Hard to see.

Thanks Digg. Here is a better pic.
I'm pretty sure city mark is Birmingham. The letter looks like an M. Letter looks like 1911, but border looks like 1835. Let me know what you think.

Just noticed the image didn't appear. The early 1900's ad says that they are the leading cigarette manufacturer of the United Kingdom.
