ABOUT TO UPGRADE TOA Tesoro Vaquero . GOOD CHOICE? IM PLANING TO USE THIS MD ON THE BEACH AREA. IVE USED MY DELEON ON THE BEACH AND IT GOOD, BUT I WANT TO FIND MORE GOLD. IVE ONLY FOUND ONE RING AND THAT ONLY BECAUSE IT SOUND DIFRENT FROM OTHER SOUNDS . NEED INPUT PLEASE

I would say that for some gold comes easy. It took me a while to find gold. It is easy to sift sand so i dont mid diggin everything. Maybe there just isnt alot of gold where u r searching. Is it just a gold issue that mkes u want 2 upgrade?

WELL YEA KIND OF.. IVE FOUND DEEP IDEMS AND I WAS WOUNDERING WITH MANUAL GROUND BALLANCE WOULD I DETECT EVEN DEEPER ON SMALLER OBJECT LIKE COINS AND RELIC.....

Both the Vaquero and Deleon will find gold if you aren't discriminating out any pull tabs as 90% of the gold rings will be in this range. Have the detector just disc out Iron and dig everything else. In the wet sand you may have a unstable detector since they will respond to the salt and black sand.

WHAT IS THE BIG DIFFRENTS WITH THE Vaquero AND THE DELEON? BESIDE THE GB. IVE BEEN FINDING THINGS WITH THE DELEON AND IVE BEEN VERY HAPPY WITH THE PERFORMANCE. IVE JUST GOT A LITTLE MONEY TO BURN AND IM WOUNDERING IF I SHOULD JUST UPGRADE OR JUST BUY ANOTHER COIL FOR THE DELON. I ALREADY HAVE THE CLEAN SWEEP COIL, THE 5 INCH COIL . WHAT COIL SHOULD I GO TO NEXT?

Here is my take on your upgrade: When you say "beach area" do you mean fresh or salt water? If you are talking fresh water beaches, then I don't feel a Vaquero would be an upgrade. Even if you are talking about salt water,I think the Vaquero might only give you a very SLIGHT edge on gold in SOME salt beach environments. Is water hunting an option for you? That's where the gold jewelry is at a beach. If water hunting is an option, I would recommend the Tiger or Sand Shark as an upgrade. Sandman, what do you think?

try a BHID or some other dedicated water machine....that way you can go into the water and not fear about getting the machine wet...i love my bhid by whites...it gives 3 tones low=iron, mid=gold and high=silver/coins..it also has 3 corrosponding led lights for checking targets...b4 long you ARE going to want to venture into the water
