Seeing as how we have the technology to transmute lessor elements to gold by nuclear reactions ...

The cost to transmute is the limit.

In today's dollars with current tech that maths out northward of $Trillion/oz.

And the Au is radioactive :D

It's all good.

Can pure gold really be radioactive? Doesn’t make much sense to have something 100% pure that’s radioactive. How does that work?

Isotopes. For example Uranium has various isotopes with various properties regards radioactivity and it is all still uranium.

Interesting.

Tis.. see wiki https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isotopes_of_gold

And then isotopes have different weights, even carbon, as in c14 isotopic dating. The weight variance isn't much but that is why you see averaged weights in charts based on known or estimated occurrence. The very specific actual weight of your things may vary. But gold occurs in nature as only ( prolly/known ) one isotope ( here on this big rock), the others are synthetic. Gold is considered stable, but it is suspected it does radioactively decay, but not often, so with a long long half life we don't see it going on. Entropy never sleeps.
