Adventures from the Field episodes 3&4
My cousin Mike and I try to get together once or twice a year to hang out and do some detecting together (along with some fishing a shooting guns). A couple weeks ago, he made the trip from Minneapolis to Missouri and we had a great time. I will focus this post on my finds and hopefully he will have a post of his own up soon to show what he found with his Explorer II.
Our first full day hunt was a road trip with Ray-mo to hit a few old worked out parks. the first video below (episode 3) is of that day. We hunted until 10 PM in the dark having to use flashlights at the end to see what the heck we were digging. It was probably the most fun day of the trip as we all found good stuff. Mike and I did not get home until 2 AM.
Over the next few days we did some more detecting and even got on a club hunt with my local club the 417 Relic Hunters. We both found a lot of silver and prizes and took home 4th and 5th place overall.
The second video shows some finds from the other hunts we had. It was fun to get some more hunting time in with Ray-mo and even a few hours with GOLDDIGGER. These are both top notch guys who know there machines well and are fun to hunt with. Heck, the stories they have are worth the time spent to hook up with them.
Multiples, Multiples, and more Multiples
3 instances that week of why it is so important to re-check your hole. I had 3 multiples on 3 different days. the first was the night hunt where I found 3 Injuns in one hole. The second and coolest was Friday when at a local park I have been to many times I got an Injun signal and ended up pulling SEVEN :yikes: injuns in one hole . The newest was 1901 and the oldest was 1869. My third occurred about 45 minutes before we had to be at the airport on the last day, I pulled 2 mercs and a rosie from one hole. My first multiple silver in a long time.
Re-check all holes!!!!!
Here are some pics and videos. Enjoy!!!
