I have hunted for 41 years and had never found a 14D wheat. I have dun countless thousands of coins of all kinds. I have found several key dates of Indians, seated dimes and many other coins but I could never seem to get that 14D. Today I hunted a house that a friend had just bought and I got it on the first signal. I hope it is a sign of new thing to come. It has been so hot and dry here in Missouri where I live, that it was impossible to do any hunting. We have had a couple of good rains this week and I am glad I took the time to go diggin.

Congratulations on the 1914 D. Have you ever found a 1909 S VDB?

I've got over 30 years of hunting under my belt and I still haven't found one. Nice find.

Great coin. I also found my first 1914d this summer in a park in Pittsburg Kansas. I guess they must have shipped a bunch of them to that area when they were new. My coin was not in as good of condition as yours though.

Congrats on the 14D. You sure had to wait a while for it, glad it finally came along!

Fantastic find.
Great job sticking it out!
Don't stop now the next one is out there waiting on you!
