After 6 months the 1.09 carat comes home!

[Charles (Upstate NY)]

I found this ring beach hunting 6 months ago and turned it into the local police department. The ring went unclaimed so they returned it to me and I'm the new (legal) owner!!

The diamond is 1.09 carats, the color is incredible and using a loop I have been unable to find any flaws. Easily one of my best finds of all time. Given the value this one is heading for the bank vault tomorrow.

Darlin' you wanna get hitched? Seriously, that is a BEAUTY. Congrats. Hope it just get better for you.

[Born Free]

That pays you back for the Minelab and then some!
Nice of you to put it in lost property. I don't think people know that lost and found items are sometimes held at the PD in hopes the owner will ask about it. You were honest and earned the rewards! How we all would LOVE to find a beauty like that!! Congratulations!

[mike63]

wow!!!! awsome it pay's to be honest....sometimes lol

[River Rat]

I remember all the excitement when you first found the ring, then the not so much excitement when you turned it over to the police. You did the right thing, no claims...so it yours. CONGRATS!!!

awesome find may I ask if you found it in the water or in the sand?
You showed us all the right way to lay ownership

[halfdime]

I found this in the wet sand, right along the surf at low tide. The tide swing up there is 7-8 feet so this ring was under several feet of water most of the day.

Charlie, I have to agree with River Rat.....like I normally do...LOL

I remember all of the excitement when you found the ring....................and I remember all of the "party poopers" who criticized you for turning it over to the police. Hmmmm.....do you hear them grumbling under their breath now?....LOL I LOVE IT! LOL

Ya did right, Charlie, and I'm proud of ya!

Yours fair and square. Cool deal. I'm curious, did you have the day marked on the calendar when you were supposed to get it back?
