Against the Odds..... Today's hunt may not be repeated as three double-coin spills were dug. The first was an 1895/1896 IHP pair, followed by a 1941/1944 wheat duo, and ended with a 1943/1952 Washington quarter pair stuck eagle-to-eagle. First find of the morning was a collar stud and the last find of the day was an 1873 IHP that was down about a foot, as was the intact brass key, my first intact skeleton key.

Awesome hunt, of course the coins are great but I'm liking the skeleton key, I've been fortunate to find a few myself

Thanks cjon,

As I mentioned, it was deep and I had a notion that it may be a large cent, with being a solid hit on the pin-pointer, and the color was right. Very happy with the key!

Thanks. "Walmart" served up another potpourri of great finds.

Looks like a fine day love to find skeletons accept closet ones

Great plethora of finds man! Love that key. You guys find some of the best indians from that park. I'm jealous.

Thanks ATW. It was the last hour of the hunt and I was wearin' out, but the third spill of the day was unearthed, the two quarters; these were very likely dropped close to 1953, the year I was born. 63 years later......

Thanks Joe. The 'skeleton' was buried, as one would expect, but it was a shallow grave.

Thanks Isaac. To use your words...."the finds on Tuesday were plethoric".

Congrats on the coin spill day, or as I like to say" a 2 for 1 day". :occasion14: Eleven keeper coins and the nice skeleton key, what else could you ask for? O need a hunt like that one real soon.

I'm with Cjon. The coins are nice but those skeleton keys are awesome relics.

Thanks L-D. It was like winning the lottery on the digging field. Happy Hunting my friend!
