I got the courage to door knock a 1910 house that I’ve been drooling over for 6 years.
I get a yes go for it! First plug, a wheatie!
Going low and slow for half an hour, I found some deep clad. That’s ok, I know there’s silver up in here.
Then my manticore sang me the dreaded song,
Dead Battery, you suck, hunt over, na na na na hey hey hey go home.
So I found a wheatie today, nice.

Yes, I agree - I always have two Portable Power Supplies in my Detecting Box.
I got my larger Portable Power Supply (2400 MAH) on Amazon for around $25.00 shipped.
It will charge my Deus and all the accessories 7 or 8 times before it needs to be recharged.

Thanks Debbie Downer for your take. Not prepared? True. I hunted the day before in a landfill of a yard, in high conductor mode for three hours. After that, I plugged my machine in my truck, 10 minute drive home. Next morning, drove to work, plugged in, half hour. After work, 20 minutes, plugged in, on my way home. Then, spur of the moment, I decided to door knock on a Sunday afternoon. Typically I’d have machine plugged in at home overnight if I’m planning on detecting, but this time I didn’t. I usually have 2 of my machines on me at all times, but I just cleaned out my truck from Digstock, it was a mess. So only had the one with me.
So after my shortened hunt, the homeowner was happy to see my immaculately cut plugs, and told me to come back anytime.
My machine has been plugged in here in my house since I got home yesterday. Sorry I wasn’t prepared, it won’t happen again Mike.
