Had one of those days that I seldom get and thats a day where I can spend more than my normal hour or two of hunting. I visited two Park tot lots and six Elementary schools. After 24 years of detecting I finally found a silver Kennedy Half and I'm surprised it was found in a tot lot. First silver coin with my Ace!! The knife was just laying on the grounds by the swings in one of the school playground?? I found someones front teeth(no gold) and three foreign coins. Found a total of $16.17 with a wheat cent and the Kennedy Half. No gold or silver found and had planned to post all the junk, but had sorted 1/2 of it before I remembered I was going to take pics!!

I don't think I have ever seen an assortment of treasures such as yours.
Those teeth amaze me.
Nice silver.

I'm not sure if the teeth amaze me or what. I sure hope the kid actually wanted them and not have the parent have them made that way.

Other than the half I just couldn't find any silver or gold!! I tried to put up a few sings requesting the kids to drop their gold and silver for me to find but thought I might get in trouble for litering!

It's a good thing you found the knife, and not some child. Looks like you a great time

Congratulations on that first Kennedy silver. 90% no less, great find. Unusual spot indeed, but then again after reading the many posts here I think treasures can almost be found anywhere. It definately brings out the thrill in me when I get to hunt knowing that a surprise can be lurking almost anywhere.

I've read about all kinds of things found on these lots, from Morgan Dollars to gold coins. My Kennedy half ranks in the bottom, but I enjoy it just as much as a Barber Half 8 inches deep. Its been on my finds list for some time. Not valueable, but definitely a keeper!

Wow Jack! You had one busy day. Good pay off too. I don't think I need to bother visiting any tot lots within 10 miles of Richmond now.

$16.00+ dollars is a huge great day of hunting. Man I'm lucky to get $1.00 worth of coins when I go out. Congrats on a great day of success.
