FREEDOM TO FIX ORDER IS SIGNED!!!Working in a garage workshop often feels like a personal sanctuary, but recent shifts in policy are changing the landscape of what we can fix ourselves. This video breaks down the frustrations surrounding the right to self repair and why these legislative changes matter for anyone who maintains their own equipment. It is a look at the intersection of personal ownership and increasing repair restrictions.Square Body Chevy HOTROD C10 Build. GMC Silverado, Jimmy, Blazer, Suburban SMALL BLOCK CHEVY,

That just a memorandum he signed, not a law, do some research.

It's a shame we don't have any honest representatives who would work to make this a law. I think we all know why they don't, but it is not appropriate for me to get into why they don't here in this thread.

I won't dig hard again for cases where Farmers weren't allowed to service new and very expensive equipment.
Leaving big tractors run all night do to no starts or difficult start ups is crazy. It happened. But when Deere proprietary computer programs ect. require Deere authorized service techs only to change or override anything there is a valid case for asking clarification on who actually owns what.
A farm needs a new tractor running and it's not starting ; that isn't time and money out of Deeres pocket.
For a farmer to have to pay Deere MORE to get their new tractor started ; there's a reason to not buy new tractors.
And I'm a former Deere fan.
Now among multiple tractors I own none.

That's just nuts, IMO. I firmly believe that many manufacturers today are
making products that are designed to fail at certain intervals, just so they
can get the added income from the repairs and parts. Hey Deere!

Guy lost me when he said people were getting jailed for working on their classics.

Trumps 4th of July Pardons

pardoned on Friday

9 faced with Clean Air Act violations under the Biden administration between Trump’s nonconsecutive White House terms. Citing aTrump administration official, CBS News identified them as Ryan Lalone, Wade Lalone, Matt Geouge, Tim Clancy, Mac Spurlock, Joshua Davis, Barry Pierce and Aaron Rudolf.

Trump posted on his Truth Social platform about some of those nine, arguing that – as he saw it – they were “in, or being sent to, prison for ‘fixing their car’”.

“I AM SETTING THEM ALL FREE, RIGHT NOW!” Trump added.

The Clean Air Act-related pardons came within days of Trump having signed a memo to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) asserting that people in the US could fix their vehicles however they wanted.

Trump in signing that memo made reference to a diesel mechanic he pardoned in November, Troy Lake, who disabled emissions-monitoring systems.
