I found this piece and it really caught my eye because of the indention being different sizes and having a worn look on them. Then I realized this is probably man made composite junk, but was not 100% positive either way. It has a few chert like characteristics and is pretty solid. The grooves are perfectly indented as a tool but could have easily been created by the creek.

I hunt in an old creek bed that I have almost exclusive access to and find things every hike. I am still learning the ropes, though, and felt this was worth asking, no matter how embarrassing.

Oh no, I was thinking it was some kind of concrete mix.
