So i went back to the new virgin hole last night for an an hour and a half. Besides nearly falling into a well(it was connected to the foundation so i didnt notice it amongst the rocks in the dark) i managed to pull a few good relics, though i tweaked my ankle a bit. Finally killed my silver dry spell with this neat little sterling thing, I was thinking it was part of a hat pin or something maybe. Also scored what looks to be part of a buckle frame? Lastly some weird dome shaped thing. Headed out to do some more detecting today, maybe I can finally pull a silver coin out somewhere.

Man that looks to be a big chunk of silver there. Pretty cool fine if it is. I like that ornate look to it. Congrats and glad you didn't fall in the well.

Looks like it could be a nice spot. Be cautious at new places for sure. I always hope not to fall in some unseen rotten wood covered well. Some of the remote spots I’ve been had some super big deep ones. Yikes! [emoji27]

Haha it's not that big, that's a penny next to it. It's hollow as well.

I'm sure it's not, but that dome almost looks like a helmet for G.I. Joe. Pretty sure all his helmets were made of plastic and long after this site was occupied.

Put some ice on that ankle.

Nice assortment of finds, and the silver handle. It reminds me of a silver handle that one would find on a button hook.

Lots of good stuff,, only a matter of time before a silver coin says hello. Thanks for reminding me of how important it is to pay attention to where we step.
Hope your ankle is okay.

Thanks! Maybe the Lesche will take my first step in unknown woods near foundations from now on instead of me..when I remember.
