Hi all. Chris and I got out for another one of our marathon days lol. Not a lot of good finds but I am happy with what I managed. Last week, I got an LC, a silver Washington, a V Nick and some wheats. Today I got another LC, 2 silver Washingtons ( they were actually a spill ), a buff and some wheats. Also got a complete lock, a pocket watch frame and a marble. The buff is a 1916. The Washintons are a 44P and a 61D. Chris and I thought we could see 1835 on the LC but can't make it out now. Chris had a very slow day until our very last permission. He pulled out some nice keepers there. Will let him tell his tale. Thanks for looking!

Damn good hunt OD...:icon_thumright:
Thanks much. It was a beautiful fall day too!
Good digs OD! Silver quarters are always welcome. Pad that silver count, one day the price of silver will go up again. And large cents are always a thrill to see in the hole!
Steve, I had not found an LC all year until last week. I was beginning to think this would be my first year not finding one.
Great Day Dave, nice to see you and the f75 are starting to get along. .
Bout time, huh? Thanks.
NICE FINDS AND LIKE THE SWIRLED MARBLE ...
It was quite the surprise Sutphin and a pleasant one at that.
I think that lock is very cool looking, Congrats on the coin saves. I have yet to free a Buffalo
It was my first complete one Inspector, so I like it too even if it is less than a 100 years old.
Look like excellent saves to me! No buttons huh?

I wonder, are you skipping any signals? Like low vdi's?

Not at all Gary. It's the tones I have been digging. I didn't show all the foil I dug lol, and as you know, that is just above iron as far as a VDI goes.

Guess it's kinda tough finding 'em if they're not there, huh. ;)

Nicely done OD.
That lock is sweet. Some locks have the lock name and key number stamped where the keyhole is.

Good job on the LC OD! I wish there were more LCs in Tennessee-scarce. I found a lock like that about 4 years ago but I think it was in AR. WTG, Q

Way to go on another successful hunt! Some great keepers you got there. You find those LC's like I find OD Nickels.:laughing7:

Pretty darned close to impossible:tongue3:

Thanks ATW. I still see no markings at all. Looks like the lock was lost with the key in it, and it rusted off even with the lock, or the key was broken off in it and then tossed.
Nice hunt. Love the old lock.
Thanks! I was very happy to see it!

Thanks Mr. Q. I would gladly trade some of my LC's for some of your CW relics.

Will, you and I have got to get together and compare notes on LC's and silver nickels, lol. The farm where I found that one has some fields that just may hold your first LC if we can ever get together so you can find one:goldcoin:

Good for you Dave, congrats!

Nice finds Dave, finding silver of any date is sweet! :notworthy:
I love finding marbles too, it's amazing what finds we make just by having our eyes on the ground while we're detecting! :laughing7:
