I have tried Dowsing off the photos a few times. It works some times..Art

Art, now that you mention it, on that 2nd pic with the arrow at the right edge, I had marked a hit there, including my 3 photos with the hits. Right at this point Mark got tired of digging, so now we don't know what is deeper down in the ground. I actually put a green X with depth of 8-9 ft (last pic) seems to be where your arrow is pointing. The dig site here is his 2nd site (not the 1st with tunnel hole).

This is how it looked before uncovering the stacked rocks next to the carved boulder. A different type of soil containing rusted ferrous bits went all the way down, packed around the rock stack. I'm wondering if some of those had carvings, never got any close up pics sent to me.

Most likely, it is a Japanese monument pointing to somewhere else, reason why the digging stopped.
