Aluminium tube from battlefield.

Digout on wwII battlefield, looks like painted german army colour "feldgrau".Any ideas?

[NHBandit]

Where you found it might help narrow it down. Doubtful you'll find much German exploded ordnance in Canada for example...

Poland.

piece of a mortar shell??

I don't immediately recognize it as Wehrmacht or SS field gear, but it could just be something I haven't seen. If it's German, there will be marks stamped in it, such as serial numbers and Waffenamts (little eagle and swastikas)

[Yukonbies]

No wafenamts codes, and no any visable stamps.

Hmmmm...... I've looked through several references and I can't find anything like it.... you might want to post it on the Wehrmacht Awards forum, I collected German gear from WW2 for several years, and I have a pretty good knowledge of German field gear and weapons, but I defer to their expertise at identifying all manner of odd items...

I am sure I am wrong...but....looks like an old Coleman camp stove.
