I hunted today for six hours on the beach, and my scoop hand gets filthy!

When we got back to the rental, I got my wife’s nail polish remover (acetone) and wiped down the handle and brace down to the scoop, and taped it all off. I them gave it the first coat of Rust Oleum Appliance epoxy, and will recoat it after one hour. It should be ready to use tomorrow morning, or whenever I get back to the beach. I think this should resolve the filthy hand problem every time I use it...crossing my fingers! I’ll let you know how it works out after the first hunt.

Sorry for the sideways pictures. I took them the right way, but the software rotated them 90 degrees. But you guys are smart, and you get the idea!

should work except for the high use spots that you may have to touch up occasionally. looks good

Get a glove for your left hand. Eventually all that shiny stuff on the scoop that's causing the problem will get rubbed off through use.

I always wear a pair of thin leather gloves!

Get a rubber handle

I have that same scoop and ended up using the grip you put on Tennis rackets and taped the ends on good...Its last over 3 years in harsh conditions.
