Whenever i go to pick up boxes i always say "do you have any large dollar coins or half dollars" well today one teller said she had 6 dollars worth i said i will take them all. This is what i found......

I know, but I can imagine someone looking at the cheap gold presidential dollars and Sacs, and thinking they are real gold. Ya really can't blame folks, good thing for us!

had a teller ask me how special and valuible this "differant" dollar coin was -- yep it was a ASE * and since she had done me several favors and was not willing to part with it -- i told her what it was --she said it was marked 1 oz 999 silver before i told her. (shes not a idiot) -- she knows about 1964 90% halves - but is clueless about 65 to 70 -40% ers which she saves for me

I drove to an auction about 2 - 3 weeks ago that stated they had three $1 gold dollars.

What should have been 65 that turned into 150 miles later I am there, They gave the wrong address.

Sign in since the auction was already 1 hour into it and no telling when they would get to the coins.

I start looking over the coins. Their 'silver' dollars were ikes that were worthless.

The 3 gold dollars were Sacs. I was furious! Total waste of my time. I let the auctioneers know my anger as well.

So.. went 80 miles north to another auction.. the guy never showed with the coins. Drove another 30 home, defeated.
